John was born on April 19, 1957, and leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and unwavering commitment to his family and community. John is survived by his beloved wife, Jackie Billinghurst, and his cherished children: daughter Karen Gharbie; son Andrew Miller and daughter-in-law Alicia Miller; daughter Amy Curtis and son-in-law Mike Curtis; and daughter Ann Lucy and son-in-law Tyler Lucy. Also survived by his beloved sister Susan Waldorf and Nephew Jeremy Waldorf. Through his children and their spouses, John's legacy continues, intertwined with the love and respect of those he held dear. John's passing is a profound loss to all who knew him. Though he is no longer with us, his memory lives on in the hearts of those he touched. He was known for his steadfast dedication to his family, his community, and his unwavering sense of integrity and warmth. His life's journey was marked by a commitment to doing the right thing, supporting those around him, and continually striving for excellence in all his endeavors. A church service in honor of John's life will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Holy Innocents Church, located at 26100 Ridgemont St, Roseville, MI 48066. This service will provide an opportunity for all who knew John to gather, remember, and celebrate the impact he had on their lives. In this time of grief, we invite all who knew and loved John to express their condolences and share their memories, ensuring that his spirit endures in the stories and reflections of those who were privileged to know him. John Lawrence Billinghurst may no longer walk amongst us, but his legacy of love, commitment, and integrity will remain, guiding us as we move forward in life without his physical presence.
